The “hot” topic around here these days is the emo trend. The debate (tv, blogs etc.) started with an unfortunate news about a 12 year old little girl which I refuse to further detail here.

I discovered “emos” the beginning of last year. I saw a little 11 year old girl’s profile and then her friends’ profiles … I was amazed and instantly picked up the phone and called my little sister (she was 16 then):

“Hey you”

“Hey”

“Are you emo?”

“LOL. Emos are loosers. The kids around here are starting to be emo, but not us.”

“So you know what an emo is! Wait a minute! Kids?? You’re a kid!”

“Of course I know… Kids as in 10-14 yrs old. I don’t agree with the bisexual part. I do like Tokio Hotel though. I think the twins are cute”

Pfew!

That’s how I got to google Tokio Hotel and thought the twins were a girl and a boy. They were both boys…

Then I started talking to all my friends with little bros and sisters and they started calling all their siblings. It was good. No harm done upon our loved ones Now, everyone is wondering what is an emo and how one ends up an emo… it’s been going on for years!!! Only now you notice??

I’m not gonna start talking about how I was at 12-13 years old.

All I’m sayin is that if my future kid comes home with a lock of hair all over his face I’ll give him a good reason to cover his face! Want depression? I’ll show you depression! … before you go and do smth like this .

These days I’ve been getting caught up in anything BUT what I’m supposed to… I’ve been focusing on personal silly net projects (soon to be revealed) when work should be top priority and hanging on the web instead of the multiple schools I’ve recklessly entered. Something like this:

It’s like I’m trying to get a break in the middle of the class. In this note I wanted to share, in case you didn’t hear of it, the genius webcomic that is xkcd. I’ve been following the comic for quite some time now and finally I’ve selected some of the latest episodes which are top of my list to give you a clue on what xkcd is about : “romance, sarcasm, math and language” [computer language that is].

xkcd is sometimes better than any funny youtube video. more on xkcd here and here. Just take a peek at the following…

Is it ok to say out loud that I don’t understand some of the episodes ? (the above I do! but all of the people who mentioned the comic seem to get them all!)… I get them in my own way

I’ll be receiving my cap and gown to wear at my Graduation Ceremony on May 24 !
I’m so nervous and excited… I can’t believe I’m graduating! This post may mark the beginning of the beginning of a new era May not seem much but I’m sure it was or will be for each one of you :P. Look here or here if interested in why we’re wearing this strange outfit at graduation.

i’m turning 22 this saturday.

i’m thinking that by the time i reach 30 i should have at least one baby… of my own… i’ve always thought this as reasonable life planning.

but nothing that i have learned since i was old enough to remember has supporded my little plan.

it started with elementary biology / genetics where i had to memorize and study a long list of “possible malfunctions” of us humans , from the common cold that aparently has no cure!!! (i was as shocked when i learned that as when i learned about Santa) to elephantiasis and Down syndrome.

THEN, i went to collage. no problem, i didn’t go to any medical school, but lots of my friends did. so now i learn about more possible genetic disorders and infections and viruses and and and

at this point my brain automatically reached the eternal conclusion - “it’s a miracle healthy people are even born” and the constant asault of news of terror, hunger, crime and sadness in the world lead my brain to another eternal wonder “do i even want to bring somebody into THIS world?”

AND NOW… a news to top it all on TVR1, the national romanian channel:
in 2004 there were 323 of new cases of cancer affecting children of maximum 14 years old. in 2005, the number was 7,700! and at the end of 2006 there were almost 11,000 of new cases of cancer affecting children (in Romania)

maybe we don’t deserve miracles anymore…

It’s totally destroying my balance of goals on Joe’s Goals!

I just added the goal “smoking” which obviously cannot be a positive one. Thus it is my single solitary negative goal. Also I put a maxim weight (if you’re using Joe’s Goals you know what I’m talking about) of 10 points, therefore, I have to check 10 positive goals only to achieve “break-even”.

I can’t wait to quit smoking!

zero hour. groud zero. whatever you wanna call it. Tommorow is THE DAY. The day I will quit smoking forever and ever. No jokes.

I have been smoking 20-40 cigarettes per day for 5 years and I can’t take it any more.

Tonight is the night I will be smoking my last smoke. God help me!
